Slide-Outs Needs A Little Attention
Slide-outs are an extra that can make your camping alot more enjoyable - room to walk by without doing the 'sideways shuffle', room to walk around the bed instead of climbing over. But they do need some care.
*Make sure battery is fully charged (or you are plugged in) before trying to operate.
*Have RV level - then check again after slide is out. Check for trees, brush, clearance, etc.
*Use a dry lube made for slide out mechanism - never grease, WD-40, etc - they can collect dirt.
*Keep seal supple with foam spray or other product (not silicone) - this seals slide sides from water and dirt.
*Check roof of slide before you retract for leaves, brances, bugs, etc. Slide out awnings can help keep dirt and rain off the slide roof and out of your RV.
*If your slide uses hydraulics, check fluid levels and watch for leaks.
*Know if your slide can be manually cranked - and know where that crank is and how to operate it!
*There are slide supports available - to help keep the slide level and to support the weight.
*Slide travel locks will keep the slide from shifting or sliding out while you travel

Water Filter Info
This is from the perspective of someone who sells replacement filters.
There seems to be as many different water filter systems out there as there are people who want them. You can get one that mounts under your sink and filters water directly to your faucet or to a separate spigot. You can get one mounted in various places in your water system line. Or you can get one mounted outside your camper, filtering all water going into your unit. Water pumps even have filters that attach just in front of the pump to filter impurities from the tank.
Not all filters do the same job. Basic ones filter out sediment, chlorine, etc.  Others do that and more, filtering out microbiological stuff, ensuring safer drinking water. Make sure you are aware of just how much your filter does and does NOT filter.
One basic thought - no matter what filter you get, check into the availability of replacement filters! Are they easy to order? Is there an aftermarket version? Also, make sure there is a way to winterize or bypass the filter.

Toilet Ins & Outs
Getting tired of that little plastic toilet? Finding it harder get up and off of the thing? You do have options!
Upgrade to a newer model. Almost all of Thetford or Sealand's newer models will fit in the same space.
There are china toilets available, which are often times alittle higher and flush alittle better, along with being more comfortable.
A different model may include a water saver spray option - add extra water to aid in flushing.
Don't like the hand flush? Try the foot flush model (or the other way around).
There is a riser that will add 2 1/2" in height to just about any toilet.
Stop in and see what options will work for you.
